Dylan's showing off with mommy and his 'bottle'
Auntie Lori's first movie attempt. Dylan is my inspiration, he's hilarious! It's not that exciting, but I'll get better, I promise. Oh and he really isn't drinking the water, he's just trying to be cool, he is only 5 months old! I guess he want to skip the baby bottle and go straight to cups and water bottles! He's quite advanced for his age ; ) What a ham.

Toy Wonderland!
Dylan took a break from crying to play with some toys during Auntie Lori's visit on Sunday, 5/18/08. He is literally surrounded by fun and completely mesmerized!

Grandpa video
Here's a video of Grandpa. I was using Laura's camera and think I had my finger on the mic, because it's poor sound quality. Grandpa is singing to Dylan and then talking about this ring toy that Dylan plays with that he was trying to stuff into his mouth.

Great Grandpa Welch
Tonight Laura and I went to see Great Grandpa Welch. It turns him 20 years younger, I swear. It's so great to see Grandpa like that. It's like my childhood again - playing with him. What a great feeling it was for me! Grandpa was bouncing him on his knee and singing him old army songs . He was also singing songs he made up like "I love Dylan, he's so cute, Grandpa loves Dylan!" Laura's camera has video, so hopefully I'll be able to post a video soon. Here's a picture from my camera.

Rice Cereal
Dylan does not like the bottle, so Laura thought she'd try him on rice cereal. That way, he'll have a little something more in his stomach while Jeff and I are babysitting. She tried it yesterday - AND HE LOVED IT!! She said she took some pictures, but I don't have them yet. I'll post them soon. Can't wait to feed him like a big boy!

A week of firsts
On Tuesday, Laura took Dylan to Target for his first shopping trip there. She said he was perfectly behaved!
Tonight, Dylan has his first sleepover - AT AUNTIE LINDA'S HOUSE!! I went over Laura's after work and left for home around 6:45. Mark noticed a puddle of water underneath our spare side-by-side in the garage. The extra loaf of bread in there was completely defrosted. The other items in the freezer were okay because they were frozen hard. I took everything out of both freezers and managed to fit almost everything in our kitchen freezer. There were a few items that I couldn't fit, so my parents came by to pick them up and store them in their freezer. Mark watched Dylan while I was doing all of this - they had fun. Anyway, back to Dylan. We did okay. He doesn't like to eat out of a bottle, so he only ate a few ounces at 8 and 10. Then he fell asleep, but when I went to put him down for the night, he woke up and stayed awake for about an hour. He is a very loud sleeper and moves around a lot. I went over Laura's around 6 am and came home around 3. I think both Laura and Dylan got a good amount of sleep this afternoon.
